Its notes are given as one list, but they split neatly. Lemon and pink pepper give a bright, lightly spicy opening, and cactus brings a watery, green sap-like freshness that sets the tone. Jasmine and orange blossom provide the floral heart, sweet and slightly heady. The base is where the black in the name comes from: leather adds a smooth animal depth, oakmoss and moss give a dry, forest-floor bitterness, and patchouli and amber bring earth and warmth.
Little is yet reported about how it wears. On character it suits daytime and the cooler end of the year, for someone who likes a green scent with a bit of leather and moss rather than pure freshness.
