Venetian Gold

Venetian Gold from Armaf is a woody scent with a sweet, fruity side, worn by anyone and released in 2022. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, about half find it gourmand, and a minority pick out musky, floral and citrus facets.

The notes are listed together. Bergamot and passionfruit, with further fruity notes, give a bright, tangy, tropical opening; thyme adds a dry herbal twist and rose a soft floral touch in the middle; and the base of cedar leaves, sandalwood, cashmeran, patchouli and musk is where most of the weight sits, with cashmeran lending a warm, velvety wood and patchouli an earthy edge.

No wear reports have been collected, so longevity and sillage are unknown. A passionfruit and sandalwood composition of this kind is adaptable across seasons, leaning towards warm days when the fruit shows and evenings when the woods take over, and would appeal to anyone who likes fruity openings with a solid woody finish.
