Oud Tabac from Amouroud, composed by Ilias Ermenidis in 2018, is a spicy fragrance first, with sweet, woody, musky, resinous and amber sides each noticed by most people.
Coriander, ginger and saffron give a warm, golden, slightly peppery opening. Tobacco follows with a dry, honeyed warmth, while frankincense and olibanum add a cool, smoky resin. Heliotrope brings a soft, almond-like powder. The base is rich: agarwood, or oud, supplies a dark, dry wood, cedar and amberwood a smooth, warm frame, labdanum a deep resin, and Bourbon vanilla and vanilla a creamy sweetness, all finished with musk.
Oud Tabac is shared and can be worn by anyone. Its spice, tobacco and resin suit autumn and winter, evenings, dinners and special occasions, and it should please people who like warm, enveloping oud blends with a sweet tobacco character.
