Nutmeg and cumin open it with a warm, dry, slightly sweaty spice that gives the scent a distinctly human edge. The heart is powdery rather than lush: iris and violet bring a cool, cosmetic, violet-sweet softness, and peach blossom adds a delicate, slightly fruity floral tone. The base is where the gold in the name sits: oud gives a smoky, woody depth, patchouli an earthy dryness, benzoin and amber a sweet, resinous warmth and vanilla a creamy finish that smooths the spice.
