Orionis

Orionis, composed by Paolo Terenzi for Tiziana Terenzi in 2019, is a warm, resinous amber with saffron and incense. Everyone who describes it calls it amber, while a minority also notice spice, sweetness, wood, musk and resin.

Saffron gives the opening a warm, leathery and gently honeyed spice. The heart is resinous and smoky: incense brings a dry, ceremonial haze, while benzoin and Tolu balsam add a sweet, balsamic, vanilla-like warmth. The base is rich and enveloping: amber gives a golden, glowing sweetness, ambergris a soft, salty, skin-like radiance, vanilla a creamy depth, patchouli an earthy richness and musk a smooth, close finish.
