Sergio Tacchini is a woody citrus from 1987, equally woody and citrusy to everyone who wears it, with an ambery warmth noticed by about half. The Italian sportswear house released it as a masculine scent. Bergamot and lime bring the citrus, the lime sharper and greener than the usual lemon, giving a crisp, slightly bitter opening. Cedar and sandalwood make up the woody body, the cedar dry and clean, the sandalwood creamy and soft, so the middle feels balanced rather than harsh. Styrax, a sweet, balsamic resin with a faint leathery, almost cinnamon-like edge, gives the finish its warmth and is what the ambery impression comes from.
