The Silk Eau de Toilette is the lighter concentration of Sensai's 2015 floral, composed by Marie Salamagne and marketed to women. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, two thirds add gourmand, and a minority find spicy, green, amber and citrus touches.
Pear and bergamot give the opening a juicy, gently sweet freshness, with violet leaf adding a cool, green, slightly metallic snap and pink pepper a soft rosy spice. The heart is a clean bouquet of peony, lily of the valley and orchid, dewy and light, with amber adding a quiet warmth beneath. Tonka bean and musk close it, bringing a creamy, almond-tinged sweetness that gives the drydown its gourmand lean while the musk keeps it smooth.
As an eau de toilette it reads as fresh and airy, well suited to daytime in spring and summer and to settings where a scent should stay discreet. Anyone who likes soft, clean florals with a sweet finish should find it easy to wear.
