Cupola

Cupola is a resinous, ambery woody fragrance from Salvatore Ferragamo, composed by Antoine Lie and Luca Maffei and released in 2020. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, resinous and ambery, and about half add spicy, green or floral.

The notes are listed without stages. Tangerine opens with a brief, sweet citrus brightness, and angelica adds a green, musky, slightly peppery herbal note. Saffron brings a warm, leathery spice. Iris lends a cool, powdery floral touch in the middle. The base is the heart of the scent: frankincense gives a smoky, lemony resin, labdanum a sticky, ambery sweetness, guaiac wood a smoky, tar-tinged wood, patchouli earth, and amber a warm, enveloping glow.

Cupola is worn by anyone. Community reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been gathered. The incense-and-amber character belongs to autumn and winter and to evenings, and it will suit someone who likes church-like resins and warm woods rather than fresh or sweet scents.
