Penthouse Windsor

Penthouse Windsor by Rue Broca, released in 2020, is amber and leather in equal measure: everyone who describes it uses both words, and about half also find it sweet, woody, floral and resinous. It is worn by anyone.

Raspberry opens it with a tart, jammy fruitiness that sits unusually well against the smoke to come. Saffron and rose give the heart a warm, slightly leathery, oriental character. Then the base builds: leather and birch for a dark, tarry, smoky depth, agarwood for dry resinous wood, and incense for lift. Benzoin and amber sweeten and soften the whole thing into a glowing, long-lasting finish.

This is a cold-weather, evening fragrance by nature, suited to coats, dinners and dim rooms. It should appeal to people who like smoky leathers and sweet ambers and want both at once, with a little fruit on top.
