Now Rouge by RAVE, released in 2022 and worn by anyone, is a woody amber with a green, herbal side. Woody and ambery are both used by everyone who describes it; about half also call it green and floral.
Green notes and herbal notes open it with a leafy, slightly bitter freshness. Iris sits in the middle, cool and powdery, giving the scent a smooth, slightly earthy floral tone. The base is where the amber impression comes from: resins and balsamic notes, sweet, warm and faintly smoky, held up by sandalwood and woody notes that keep the finish dry rather than syrupy.
Wearers have not yet reported on longevity or projection. By character it suits autumn and winter, daytime or evening, and someone who likes resinous warmth balanced by green and powder rather than sugar. It is sold in a large bottle.
