Siesta

Siesta, from the Spanish house Ramon Monegal and composed by Ramon Monegal himself, is a sweet, woody floral released in 2023 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, most add woody and floral, and a third mention musky or citrus, so the sweetness is anchored rather than sugary.

The notes come as a single list. Lemon gives a brief bright lift at the start. Honey carries the sweetness through the middle, thick and warm, with jasmine adding a rich floral glow and iris a cool, powdery softness that keeps the honey from cloying. The base is where the woody accord lives: cedar for dry wood, vetiver for a smoky, earthy edge, and vanilla, tonka bean and musk for a soft, warm, slightly almond-like finish.

Little is yet reported about how long it lasts. Its character points to cooler afternoons and evenings, and to someone who likes a sweet scent that smells of honey and wood rather than caramel and fruit.
