Cuoio

Cuoio is a soft, herbal leather from the Italian house Profumo di Firenze, released in 2018. Woody is the word everyone uses for it; about two thirds also find it gourmand, floral, aromatic or leathery, and a third resinous.

Thyme, rosemary and lavender give the opening a dry, herbal, Mediterranean freshness. Leather is the centre, smooth and warm rather than tarry, and birch adds a faint smoky, tar-like edge beside it.
