Patchouli Nobile

Patchouli Nobile, composed by Marie Duchêne for Nobile 1942 in 2009, is a woody fragrance built around patchouli. Wood leads, and smaller groups note spice, amber, citrus, flowers and resin.

Amalfi lemon and lemon give a bright, zesty opening, with pepper and white pepper adding a dry, clean spark. Jasmine softens the heart with a light floral touch. Patchouli then comes forward, earthy, slightly sweet and woody. The base is dense and warm: labdanum and French labdanum bring a honeyed resin, incense a soft smoke, guaiac wood and cedar a dry, smoky structure, sandalwood a creamy smoothness, oakmoss a mossy depth and tonka bean a gentle sweetness.
