Verbena

Verbena from Monotheme Venezia is a citrus fragrance built around lemon verbena, released in 2016 and worn by anyone. About half of those who describe it also find it woody, musky, floral or ambery, so it is not a thin cologne.

The notes come as one list. Lemon verbena and a general citrus accord give the lemony, leafy brightness that defines the opening, and green notes keep it crisp. White flowers soften the middle without making it heavy. Vetiver adds a dry, grassy earthiness, and musk and amber warm the finish so the scent lingers rather than disappearing with the citrus.

A verbena scent with a warm base points to spring and summer days, office hours and anyone who likes to smell freshly washed rather than perfumed. There are no community reports yet on longevity or sillage, though citrus openings as a rule are brighter in the first hour than later.
