Chypre Charnel

Chypre Charnel is a feminine floral chypre from Molinard, released in 2015. Flowers lead, citrus is noticed by most people, about half find sweetness and wood, and smaller groups note greenery and musk.

The top is bright and fruity: lemon, bergamot and orange give a sparkling citrus, and peach a soft, velvety fruit, a classic chypre opening. The heart is a soft floral bouquet of white flowers, jasmine, iris flower and Bulgarian rose, by turns creamy, powdery and velvety. The base is where the chypre character lives: oakmoss gives a damp, earthy bitterness, patchouli and vetiver an earthy depth, while vanilla and benzoin add warmth, and ambroxan and musk a smooth, sensual finish.
