Secret Tonka

Secret Tonka is a sweet, warm fragrance from the Italian house LPDO, released in 2025 and worn by anyone. Everyone who has described it finds it gourmand, and about half also call it spicy, woody, floral, ambery or citrusy.

Bergamot gives the opening a quick citrus brightness, while saffron adds a dry, leathery, slightly bitter spice. The heart pairs agarwood and Bulgarian rose, a classic combination: the oud brings a dark, smoky, resinous wood, and the rose brings a rich, jammy floral sweetness that softens it. The base is where the name earns its keep. Tonka bean adds a hay-like, almond-tinged warmth, brown sugar a caramelised sweetness, ambergris a salty, ambery glow, and white musk and oakmoss a soft, slightly mossy finish.

Sweet and resinous in this way, it reads as a cold-weather, evening scent, well suited to anyone who enjoys rose and oud but wants them wrapped in something comforting.
