Arsenic Osman Extreme

Arsenic Osman Extreme is a 2020 release from the French house Laurent Mazzone Parfums. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, about two thirds find it sweet, and a third add spice, wood and leather. It is worn by anyone.

Plum gives a dark, ripe fruitiness at the start, warmed by cinnamon. Osmanthus is the centrepiece, a flower that smells of apricot and soft suede, flanked by jasmine and violet for a fuller, slightly powdery bouquet. Beneath it, patchouli adds an earthy depth, palo santo brings a sweet, resinous smokiness, and leather and vanilla finish it with a plush, sweet-leathery warmth.

The richness of plum, cinnamon and leather points to autumn and winter evenings, and to settings where a dense, rounded scent is an asset rather than a distraction. It suits people who enjoy fruity florals with real depth and a touch of smoke.
