Lavender is the lead, clean, herbal and slightly sweet, the sun-warmed field rather than the soap bar. Sichuan pepper gives it a fizzy, tingling spice, more citrusy and bright than black pepper, so the lavender feels lifted rather than heavy. Cedar is the base, dry, smooth and faintly pencil-like, holding the two lighter notes in place and giving the scent its length on skin.
