Preziosa

Preziosa is a floral with a spicy edge, created for Furla by perfumer Alex Lee and released in 2020. Everyone who describes it calls it floral; most also find it spicy, while a minority notice a sweet, leathery or citrus side.

The notes are listed without a formal pyramid, but they suggest the shape. Bergamot brings a brief citrus brightness and pink pepper a tingling, rosy warmth. Saffron adds a dry, slightly leathery spice that sits comfortably with rose, freesia and geranium at the centre. Underneath, suede gives a soft, skin-like texture, vanilla a gentle sweetness and Ambrarome a warm, ambery glow that holds the composition together.

Furla positions it as a feminine fragrance. The combination of flowers, spice and soft suede points towards cooler weather and evenings rather than hot afternoons, and towards someone who wants a floral with some depth rather than a light, airy one. It is sold in two sizes, 100 ml and 30 ml, so the smaller bottle makes a reasonable first test.
