Sultan

Sultan, released by Epicò in 2022, is mainly woody, with spice and amber in strong support and smaller floral and citrus touches.

Grapefruit gives a bright, tangy start, quickly followed by cloves and saffron, which bring warm, slightly medicinal and leathery spice. Whiskey adds a boozy, smoky sweetness, and hawthorn a soft, almond-like floral touch, while rose softens the heart. The base is rich and regal, in keeping with the name: agarwood, or oud, gives a smoky, resinous woodiness, black amber a dark, warm glow, ambergris a salty, skin-like warmth, and cedar and sandalwood a dry and creamy woody structure.

The profile points to autumn and winter, evenings and formal occasions where a bold, spiced woody scent fits. It is meant to be worn by anyone who enjoys oud with whiskey and spice, and who wants a warm, assertive fragrance rather than a fresh or light one.
