Vetyver Haiti

Vetyver Haiti is one of the older fragrances from Comptoir Sud Pacifique, dating from 1977, and it is worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it citrus, and about half also find it gourmand and musky.

Lemon and bergamot open it with a clean, zesty freshness, the lemon sharper and the bergamot softer and slightly floral. Vanilla then gives the heart a sweet, creamy warmth that is the source of the gourmand impression, and musk settles the composition on the skin with a smooth, clean finish that keeps the sweetness from becoming heavy.

With only four notes listed, it is an uncomplicated scent that reads as citrus first and sweet second, a cologne with a soft landing.
