Inspiration

Inspiration from the French house Charles Jourdan, composed by Jean-Marie Santantoni and released in 1998, is a straightforward floral. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, and a third add citrus.

Only four notes are given, so the scent is simple and legible. Mandarin orange opens with a soft, sweet citrus brightness, gentler than lemon or bergamot. The heart is a classic trio: rose for a fresh, slightly honeyed petal note, jasmine for warmth and fullness, and violet for a powdery, faintly sweet, cosmetic softness that gives the blend a vintage polish.
