Rose Prana

Rose Prana from the British house Anima Vinci, composed by Randa Hammami and released in 2017 as a feminine fragrance, is a green, woody rose. Woody is the word everyone uses for it; about two thirds also find it green, musky, floral or citrusy, and a third spicy.

Verbena and lemon verbena give the opening a sharp, lemony, herbal freshness, and pink pepper a gentle, rosy warmth. Violet leaf adds a green, cucumber-like, slightly metallic note. May rose and rose form the heart, fresh and slightly dewy, and hedione gives them a transparent, airy, jasmine-like radiance. The base is dry and mossy: oakmoss for a damp, green, bitter depth, vetiver for a rooty, smoky woodiness, patchouli for earthiness, woody notes for structure, and white musk and musk for a clean, soft finish.

The fresh, green character suits spring and summer and daytime wear, and it should appeal to someone who likes rose in a crisp, leafy, mossy setting rather than a sweet one.
