The opening is busy and lively: grapefruit and green leaves give a fresh, sharp brightness, while cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg add a warm spice and clary sage a herbal note. In the heart, rose, freesia and lotus bring a soft, slightly watery floral touch, set against dry cedar. The base is smooth and warm, with guaiac wood and sandalwood giving a creamy, smoky woodiness, and ambergris and musk a salty, skin-like finish.
Versatile and slightly unconventional, as its name suggests, it suits spring and autumn, for daytime, the office and evenings out. A man who likes spicy, woody scents with a fresh green and floral twist will find it an interesting, characterful choice, in the experimental spirit of early 2000s men's fragrances.
