Red

Red, from the Italian label Alfa Romeo Perfumes, was composed by Sofia Bardelli and released in 2021 for men. It is a sweet, fruity gourmand: sweet and edible is how everyone describes it, with only a quarter of people mentioning spice, amber or citrus.

Citruses and pineapple give the opening a juicy brightness, the pineapple adding a tropical, syrupy sweetness. Fruity notes carry that ripeness into the middle, where pink pepper adds a light, rosy spice to keep it from becoming flat. Tonka bean and amber form the base, bringing a warm, almond-like, slightly powdery sweetness that is the longest-lasting part of the scent.

Wearers have not yet reported on longevity or projection. By character it suits casual wear and cooler evenings, and someone who likes sweet, fruit-led masculine scents rather than fresh or woody ones. It is sold in a large bottle.
