Magnetic Maze

Magnetic Maze, a 2025 fragrance from Agarthi composed by Julien Rasquinet, is equally spicy and woody, with a strong resinous side and smaller gourmand, floral and amber touches.

Pink pepper, cardamom and saffron open it with a warm, aromatic spice, the saffron adding a leathery, honeyed edge. Mimosa brings a soft, powdery and slightly honeyed floral note, and honey a golden, rich sweetness, which is where much of the gourmand side comes from. The base is deep and smoky: frankincense, also listed as olibanum, gives a dry, churchy smoke, labdanum a sticky, ambery resin, agarwood, or oud, a smoky woodiness, and nagarmotha, also called cypriol, an earthy, smoky depth, with patchouli grounding everything.
