Black pepper, pink pepper and cinnamon open it with a dry, fiery spice, with aldehydes adding a brief sparkle. Rum and liquorice form the heart, boozy and dark, with rose oxide adding a sharp, metallic, rosy edge. Tobacco and incense bring a dry, smoky depth to the base, while guaiac wood, sandalwood, amyris and vetiver give it a smooth, resinous woodiness. Vanilla, amber and musk round it off with warmth and a soft finish.
It suits autumn and winter and evening wear. Anyone who likes boozy, spiced woods with tobacco and smoke should find it rewarding.
