Rimal, Arabic for sands, from The Spirit of Dubai (2015) is a woody fragrance with spice, sweetness, flowers and amber each noticed by most people, and a smaller citrus share.
The top is warm from the start: bergamot gives a short citrus lift, and nutmeg, cinnamon and saffron a golden spice, with vanilla, fruits and white flowers adding sweetness. The heart is rich and resinous, with rose and ylang-ylang for a creamy, velvety bloom, incense and styrax for smoke and balsam, and patchouli for depth. The base is dense and warm: agarwood gives a smoky oud, leather a supple texture, caramel a golden sweetness, labdanum a honeyed resin, and sandalwood, vetiver, amber and musk a smooth finish.
Rimal is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits autumn and winter evenings and special occasions, for people who love warm, opulent desert-inspired compositions.
