Rose sits at the centre of Dear Karma, a floral fragrance by The House of Oud with a strong woody and amber side. Cristian Calabro composed it in 2024, and it is worn by anyone.
Neroli and absinthe make an unusual opening, with bright orange-blossom freshness set against a bitter, herbal edge, and saffron adds a warm, slightly leathery spice. Rose then takes over, full and velvety, with spun sugar giving it a light candied sweetness. The base is dark and resinous: incense and myrrh bring smoke and balsam, leather a smooth, worn texture, and patchouli an earthy depth.
Its mix of rose, resin and leather points to evenings and the cooler months, from autumn dinners to winter occasions. It suits someone who likes a rose with weight and a little mystery rather than a fresh garden floral, and who enjoys scents that change noticeably as they wear.
