The composition is short and transparent, in keeping with Ellena's minimalist style. Rose de Mai, the May rose of Grasse, is the centre: fresh, honeyed and slightly green, more like a flower in a garden than a jam or a powder. Rose geranium and geranium add a lemony, green, slightly minty edge that brightens the rose. Immortelle brings a warm, honeyed, faintly hay-like note that gives the flower some depth, and musk keeps the finish clean and close to the skin.
