Halfeti, from Penhaligon's, was released in 2015 and composed by Christian Provenzano. It is a woody, spicy fragrance with sweetness, florals and citrus behind it and a thread of leather.
The opening is busy and bright: grapefruit and bergamot give citrus sparkle, saffron and cardamom an aromatic, leathery spice, and cypress leaf and artemisia a green, slightly bitter herbal note. The heart turns towards rose and jasmine, warmed by nutmeg. The base is deep and smooth, with oud and leather for a dark, slightly smoky richness, sandalwood and cedar for woods, and vanilla, tonka bean, amber and musk for a soft, sweet glow.
Most wearers find it long lasting or moderate, with a moderate to strong sillage. It is voted equally for autumn and winter and leans towards evening wear.
