The opening is sharp and savoury: sumac brings a tangy, lemony spice, citrus adds brightness and cumin a warm, slightly salty edge. The heart is dark and ceremonial, as incense gives a dry, smoky resin, orange blossom a surprising touch of white floral sweetness, and agarwood, or oud, a deep, medicinal woodiness. In the base the oud returns alongside tobacco, which adds a dry, honeyed leaf, and tonka bean, which softens everything with a warm, almond-like sweetness.
