Solo Soprani is a 1995 release from the Italian house Luciano Soprani, and it belongs to the era of bright, citrus-floral shared scents. Most people describe it as both floral and citrus, roughly two thirds also find it spicy, and a third pick up woody, aromatic or ambery facets.
Bergamot, lemon and orange give a sparkling, slightly bitter opening, and lavender adds the clean aromatic quality common in fragrances of its time. Cardamom and nutmeg bring a gentle, warm spice that bridges the citrus and the flowers. The floral heart is classic: jasmine for richness, rose for softness, violet for a slightly powdery touch. Cedar and oakmoss give the base a dry, mossy structure, and tonka bean, musk and amber round it off with a soft, lasting warmth.
It is worn by anyone. The overall effect is tidy and versatile, suited to daytime wear in spring and summer, and to anyone who appreciates a well-mannered classic without heavy sweetness.
