Idole Eau de Parfum from Lubin is a 2011 EDP created by Olivia Giacobetti. Wood and amber lead equally, with strong spice and lighter touches of sweetness, leather and citrus.
It opens with caraway for a savoury, slightly bready spice, rum for a warm, boozy richness, bitter orange for a bright, bitter citrus edge and saffron for a leathery glow. The heart is sweet and smoky: sugar adds a burnt, caramel-like sweetness, incense a dry smoke and ebony wood and palm tree an exotic, woody depth. The base is warm and resinous, with amber and French labdanum giving a balmy glow, leather a smooth texture and sandalwood creamy wood.
