Plume Blanche 1901 by Lalique, released in 2020 and composed by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, is a soft, musky woody fragrance. Woods and musk lead equally, with spice, sweetness and flowers strongly present and a resinous warmth beneath.
Mandarin orange and pink pepper open with a light, sparkling brightness, while cardamom adds a cool, aromatic spice. Almond and heliotrope soon appear, giving a creamy, slightly powdery sweetness that recalls marzipan and soft cotton. Jasmine and violet leaf add a delicate floral and green touch. The base is cosy and smooth: white musk creates a clean, cushiony softness, cedar and patchouli give structure, and tonka bean and benzoin add warm, vanilla-like resin.
Worn by anyone, it is gentle and comforting rather than bold, the kind of scent that suits quiet workdays, weekends and cooler afternoons. Those who like powdery almond and musk compositions should find it a refined, easy-wearing option.
