Psychedelique, released by Jovoy Paris in 2011 and composed by Jacques Flori, is a rose, patchouli and amber fragrance. Florals and amber lead equally, with sweet, woody, musky and citrus notes at half that strength.
The opening is a brief citrus lift. The heart is rich and dark: rose and geranium bring a velvety, slightly minty floral note, patchouli an earthy, dark depth, and amber and French labdanum a warm, resinous, sticky sweetness. The base is musk and vanilla, which add a soft, creamy, sensual finish.
Performance is strong: most wearers report it as long lasting, many say it lasts far beyond a day, and the sillage is mostly strong. It is voted for winter and autumn and favours evening wear. It suits cold nights, dinners and anyone who likes the 1970s-style rose and patchouli pairing deepened by amber. It is worn by anyone.
