Artisan Forest from John Varvatos, a men's fragrance from 2025, is intensely green, with a solid woody structure and smaller aromatic and amber touches.

The opening is leafy and bright: fig leaf gives a milky, sap-green freshness, galbanum a sharp, bitter-green snap, rosemary a herbal coolness and tangelo a juicy citrus lift. The heart continues outdoors with violet leaf, which smells of crushed greenery, ripe fig for a soft fruity sweetness, and artemisia and buchu, both bitter, herbal and slightly medicinal. The base turns to vetiver, cedar and patchouli for a dry, earthy, forest-floor woodiness, with amber adding a little warmth.

Designed for men, it feels natural and unfussy. Its green, woody profile suits spring and summer days, outdoor plans and casual office wear, and it should appeal to those who like fig and green notes with a grounded, earthy finish.
