Sultan Leather by Jeanne Arthes, released in 2024, is a warm amber-leather scent for men. Amber is what everyone picks up first and most also describe it as leathery; a third find it sweet, woody, floral and resinous.

Saffron and raspberry open it, the saffron dry and leathery, the raspberry adding a sweet, slightly tart fruitiness that softens it. Leather and suede form the heart, the leather smoky and rich, the suede smoother and more velvety, and night blooming jasmine adds a heady, warm floral note that gives the scent a sensual edge. The base is deep and resinous: frankincense and olibanum bring a cool, church-like smoke, incense doubles it, cedar adds a dry wood and amber wraps everything in warmth.

It reads as an evening and cold-weather fragrance with a clear nod to Middle Eastern perfumery, suited to someone who likes leather and incense but wants them cushioned by fruit, amber and a touch of jasmine.
