The Collection Sensual Geranium

The Collection Sensual Geranium by Hugo Boss, released in 2022, is a resinous, musky floral for men built around geranium. Floral is the word everyone uses; about two thirds also call it woody, musky, resinous and amber-like, and a third find it green.

Geranium leads with its rosy, slightly minty green sharpness, with lavender adding a clean aromatic edge and artemisia and angelica a bitter, herbal, almost medicinal green. Plum brings a dark fruit sweetness, and the heart turns floral with rose and osmanthus, the latter apricot-like and faintly leathery. Cinnamon adds warmth before the base: olibanum (frankincense) for a dry, lemony smoke, benzoin and amber for a sweet resinous glow, cedar and vetiver for dry wood and white musk for a soft finish.

It suits cooler months and evenings and someone who likes geranium and rose in a masculine, incense-and-resin setting rather than a fresh or sweet one.
