L’Ange Noir is a gourmand fragrance from the French house Givenchy, released in 2016. Sweetness leads, with spicy, musky, floral, amber and citrus sides.

Pink pepper, almond and bergamot open with a sparkling spice, a soft marzipan-like nuttiness and a bright citrus. The heart brings sesame, which gives a toasted, nutty note, and white iris, which adds a cool, powdery elegance. In the base, tonka bean gives a sweet, almond-like warmth, amber a resinous glow and ambrette a soft, fruity musk.

Wearers are split between long lasting and moderate longevity, and most report moderate sillage. It is voted equally for winter and autumn and mostly for evenings. It suits dinners and cold weather, and someone who likes nutty, powdery gourmands with almond, sesame and iris rather than a fruity or fresh scent.
