Wings from Giorgio Beverly Hills, created by Jean Claude Delville in 1992, is a bold, multi-layered floral. Flowers dominate, with light woody, musky and ambery touches underneath.

It opens with a full bouquet rather than citrus: rose, gardenia and lily give a creamy, rich floral body, passion flower and osmanthus a fruity, apricot-like sweetness, and marigold a green, slightly herbal note. The heart continues the floral theme, with lilac adding a fresh, powdery sweetness, cyclamen a watery note, orchid and jasmine a creamy glow and heliotrope an almond-like powder. The base is warm and smooth, with cedar and sandalwood giving dry and creamy wood, and amber and musk a soft finish.

Most wearers report long-lasting to moderate wear, with a moderate to strong trail. It is voted mainly for spring and largely for daytime. That suits it to daytime occasions and spring days, applied lightly, for someone who loves a big, classic floral bouquet.

Wings — unisex fragrance by Giorgio Beverly Hills (released 1992). Top notes: Lily, Gardenia, Marigold, Osmanthus, Rose, Passion Flower. Heart notes: Lilac, Jasmine, Cyclamen, Heliotrope, Orchid. Base notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Amber, Cedar. — Parfica open fragrance database
