Amber Empire

Sweet and woody in equal measure, Amber Empire is a masculine from French Avenue released in 2025. About a third of those who describe it also pick up musk, resin and amber, but the main impression is a warm, boozy, vanilla-laced wood.

The opening is already rich: cashmere wood gives a soft, velvety warmth, a liquor note adds a boozy edge, and vanilla pod sets the sweetness in motion. The heart brings amber and sugar cane, warm and syrupy, with cedar adding a drier, cleaner line. The base is where it lingers longest, sandalwood and tonka bean creamy and smooth, musk softening the edges and labdanum adding a resinous, slightly leathery depth.

About half of wearers report long lasting performance and most of the rest find it moderate; sillage is moderate to strong. It is voted for winter and autumn and clearly for night, so it is a cold-evening scent, the kind worn to a dinner or a bar rather than to the office.
