Sound of a Ricochet

Sound of a Ricochet, created by Sophie Labbé for Floraïku and released in 2017, is a gourmand fragrance through and through, with a woody side noticed by about a third of people.

The composition is short and focused. Vanilla absolute and vanilla give a deep, rounded sweetness with the slightly smoky, dark facets that natural vanilla can carry, rather than a sugary bakery note. Tonka bean adds an almond-like, hay-sweet warmth that makes the vanilla feel creamier and fuller. Sandalwood runs underneath, giving a soft, milky wood that keeps the whole thing smooth and stops it from tipping into pure dessert.

Worn by anyone, it is a quiet, comforting scent best suited to autumn and winter, cosy evenings and moments when a warm skin scent feels right. It should appeal to people who love vanilla and want it presented simply, with a little wood to hold it together.
