Island Kiss by Escada, from 2004 and composed by Philippe Romano, is a tropical fruity floral. Gourmand sweetness and flowers lead equally, with wood, musk and citrus in smaller measure.

The opening is a vivid fruit salad: mango, passionfruit, raspberry and orange give a juicy, sweet and tangy start, with magnolia, passion flower and white flowers adding a fresh floral thread. In the heart, white peach and red berries keep the sweetness going while rose hip and hibiscus add a tart, slightly floral tea-like brightness. The base is soft and clean, with white woods, sandalwood and musk.

Most wearers report moderate longevity, with many finding it longer, and the trail is moderate to strong. It is overwhelmingly a summer scent and mainly for daytime. Escada's Island Kiss suits beach holidays, festivals and sunny afternoons, for someone who loves bright, fruity scents that feel like a cocktail by the pool.
