Ventus

Ventus by the Italian house Eolie Parfums, released in 2015, is a bright woody scent in which musk, floral, amber and citrus all play an equal part. Woody, musky, floral, amber and citrus impressions are shared by everyone who describes it, and about half also find it spicy.

Sicilian lemon opens it with a sharp, sunny brightness, and a touch of spice adds warmth early on. Egyptian jasmine fills the heart with a rich, slightly heady floral sweetness. The base is where the character settles: Texas cedar gives a dry, pencil-shaving wood, incense and resins add a smoky, slightly sweet depth, and white musk smooths the finish into something clean and lasting.
