Amal

Amal is a floral scent with a woody, herbal backbone and a sweet streak running through it, made by the Canadian house Eau De Moe and released in 2022. Nearly everyone who describes it calls it floral; woody and aromatic impressions come next, with gourmand and green facets noticed by about half.

The opening pairs rose and iris with sage and lemon, so the first minutes feel bright and slightly herbal rather than powdery. The heart turns softer and sweeter: caramel folds into the rose, mint keeps it from becoming cloying, and ylang-ylang adds a creamy, tropical depth. The base is where the weight sits, with amber, tobacco and vanilla giving warmth and oakmoss adding an earthy, forest-floor dryness before sandalwood and musk smooth everything out.

Amal is worn by anyone. With its sweet-herbal heart and tobacco-amber finish, it reads as a scent for cooler evenings and quieter settings rather than a bright daytime spray.
