Cuba Authentic Flame from the French house Cuba Paris, released in 2022, is a sweet, tropical woody fragrance for men. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand; most also find it woody and fresh, and a third pick up citrus.
Bergamot and pineapple open it bright and juicy, with sea water and sea notes adding a clean, salty, beach-like freshness. Coconut sits at the centre, creamy and sun-warmed, giving the scent its sweet, holiday character. The base is cedar and sandalwood, dry and creamy in turn, with tonka bean adding a soft, vanilla-like sweetness that rounds everything off.
It is marketed as masculine and is a summer scent by nature, best in hot weather, on holiday or at the beach, for someone who likes coconut and pineapple with a woody rather than purely sugary finish.
