The opening pairs two roses, Bulgarian and Turkish, giving a rich, velvety and slightly spicy floral body, with bergamot adding a brief citrus brightness and saffron a warm, leathery spice. The heart deepens with incense, dry and smoky, Indonesian patchouli leaf, earthy and dark, and Chinese osmanthus, which brings an apricot-like, suede-soft floral tone. The base is resinous and brooding: agarwood adds a dark, smoky woodiness, more incense keeps the smoke going and Spanish labdanum gives a sticky, ambery warmth.
