Ambre Safrano by BDK Parfums is a spicy, sweet amber composed by Julien Rasquinet in 2022. Spice and sweetness share the lead, with lighter accents of flowers, resin, amber and leather.
Black pepper and saffron open with heat and a leathery, golden spice. Plum adds a dark, jammy fruitiness and rose a soft floral richness, both giving the spices something to wrap around. As it develops, frankincense brings a cool, resinous smoke and leather a supple, slightly smoky texture. The base is warm and enveloping: vanilla gives a creamy sweetness, sandalwood a smooth wood, and oak a drier, barrel-like note.
Ambre Safrano is shared and worn by anyone. It is best suited to autumn and winter, evening plans, dinners and occasions where a warm, rich scent is welcome, and it should appeal to fans of saffron-led ambers that balance spice with dessert-like warmth.
