Wood Of Life by the British house Anima Vinci, released in 2017 and composed by Michel Roudnitska, is a spicy, woody citrus with a floral centre. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy; about three quarters also find it woody and citrusy, and half notice its floral side.

Bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin give the opening a sunny, slightly bitter brightness, sharpened by ginger and cooled by a touch of mint. Cinnamon and clove then bring a warm, dry spice that gives the scent its character.
